HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search
- If you don’t find a Windows Search folder under Windows key then you need to create one manually. To do that, right-click on the Windows key and then move your pointer toward New to select the Key option. Now you have to save the key with the name of Windows Search.
- After creating the Windows Search key, open it and then right click on any empty section in the right side of the window. Now again select New and then click on the Key and save it with DWORD(32-BIT) value. Make sure you save the key as AllowCortana name.
- Next, Double click on AllowCortana to change its key value.
- Once the Edit DWORD Value window open, change the Value from 1 to 0 and select the base as Hexadecimal. After doing such, press Ok to save the changes you have made.
- Now, exit from the current Window and then restart your device to check if the problem is fixed or not.
