How to Uninstall BlueStacks in Windows 10/11 Devices?

Now, follow the instructions to uninstall BlueStacks from Windows 10/11 devices:
1. Open the Control Panel Tool
Windows users can uninstall any program from the Control Panel. Don’t know how to remove BlueStacks from here? Hold the Windows and I keys together, choose “Control Panel” from the built-in Windows tools. Additionally, you can write “Cntrl pnl ” in the search bar to open the Control Panel window.
Now, locate the “Programs” section and go for the “Programs and Features” option. A new window will open with a list of apps that are installed on the Windows device. Locate the search box, write ‘BlueStacks”, and press “Enter” afterwards. Right-click on it, choose “Uninstall”, and click “Yes” when the confirmation message appears.
Go to the Taskbar, navigate to “File Explorer”, and opt for the “X:\ProgramData” folder. Here, X denotes the PC’s hard drive name. Then, search for the “BlueStacksSetup” folder, and right-click on it to choose “Delete”. Tap on “Yes” when the popup window opens to uninstall BlueStacks completely.
2. Use the Registry Editor
BlueStacks stores many temporary files even after the installation. Remove these files from the Registry Editor to free up device storage. Press the Windows and R keys together and write “%temp%” when the Run box appears. Hit the “Enter” button or click “OK” to get the temporary files.
Hold the Control and A keys together to remove the “TempTemp” files. Or right-click on the BlueStacks-related files and choose “Delete” afterwards. Download the BlueStack Cleaner from the BlueStacks website
Open the app, choose “Run as Administrator”, wait for at least 2-3 minutes and click “OK”. BlueStacks will notify you when it removes all the temporary files from the PC. Restart the device, open the Control Panel, and check if the BlueStacks app is there. If yes, then proceed to the next method.
3. Uninstall BlueStacks in Safe Mode
Enable the Safe Mode to uninstall BlueStacks without any issues. But, before that, you need to open the Windows Installer Service. Otherwise, you might get the “1084” error message after getting into the Safe mode. Now, restart the device while holding the “Shift” key.
Release the Shift key when a blue screen appears. Click “Troubleshoot”, choose “Advanced Options”, and tap on “Startup Settings”. Opt for the “Restart” option and press the F4 key; follow the on-screen instructions to run the device in Safe Mode.
Hold the Windows and X keys together and choose “Command Prompt” from the menu. Then, copy and paste the following command lines when the next window opens:
- REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer” /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D “Service”
- REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\MSIServer” /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D “Service”
- net start msiserver
Press “Enter” after entering these commands and close the window once done. A “REG file” window will open on the screen with the app list. Choose “BlueStacks” from there, click “Uninstall” to remove it from the PC.
4. Use the System Restore Feature
Are you still getting issues when uninstalling Bluestacks? Rollback the device to its previous state when BlueStacks wasn’t installed. For instance, if the PC created a restore point on March 10th, and you installed BlueStacks two weeks later – Reverting the device to the 10th March restore point will uninstall the apps which were installed after that.
Enable “System Protection” from the Control Panel before using System Restore. Then, press the Windows key, and write “System Restore” in the search bar. Tap on “Create a restore point”, choose “System Restore”, choose “Next” from the next window.
Select the most recent restore point before the BlueStacks app was installed. Wait until the new window pops up and choose “Next”. You can see “BlueStacks” in the list of the programs that you have recently uninstalled. Choose another restore point if the app is still there.
